AI has a wide range of applications in the everyday lives of people, but today let’s just focus on two which are language processing and computer vision.

What is AI?

Artificial intelligence is a field of study that deals with the ability of computers to understand complex tasks and respond flexibly in novel situations.

Why is it important?

Artificial intelligence is important because it can make decisions for us. It can help us to do things faster and more accurately. It can also help us to work smarter by analyzing large amounts of data.

How does AI work?

Artificial intelligence (AI) process of designing computer programs that can discern patterns and dynamics in data sets. Unlike traditional computers, which are programmed to follow specific rules and logic, AI programs can “learn” on their own by analyzing data repeatedly. This allows them to improve their performance as they get more experience with a task.

Types of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence can be divided into two main categories: supervised learning and unsupervised learning. Supervised learning is when the AI system is given a set of training data and taught how to identify patterns within it, while unsupervised learning is when the AI system is given no training data and has to learn on its own.

NLP is used to process human speech and text. machine learning is a type of AI that uses algorithms to analyze data and improve its accuracy over time. deep learning is a more recent form of AI that uses layers of neural networks to improve performance. Finally, reinforcement learning involves using rewards or punishments to teach an AI system how to make correct decisions in future situations.

How Does Artificial Intelligence work?

However, this effort was largely unsuccessful and was largely abandoned by the 1970s.

This was thanks to the work of computer scientist John McCarthy, who developed what is now known as McCarthy’s principles. These principles outlined how computers can be programmed to learn and improve on their own, which lead to significant advances in AI development over the next few decades.
